Weekend activities

Watching Foyle's War lead to this 'Rosie the Riveter' headscarf experiment, and the inevitable bad-self-portrait-in-the-mirror (which actually I quite like ...)

I then had loads and loads of washing to do, as everyone decided to change their beds at once, and I had a backlog of charity shop finds to spruce up. Fortunately the rain sort of held off, so some of it went to dry in the garden, where there were some nice flowery goings on, including these two rhododendrons: the yellow one is R. luteum, I think, it smells good anyway, the red I haven't a clue, it was a refugee from a flowerbed somewhere when I was a gardener.   This fern was just starting to unfurl, and a first thrift flower coming out too ...
